Download and Import the Starter Workflow

To help you get started faster, we've created a prebuilt n8n workflow you can import directly into your workspace.

1. Download the Workflow File

📥 Download Auto_Create_Workflows.json

Make sure the file downloads as .json — not as plain text. If it opens in your browser instead, right-click the link and choose "Save link as…".

2. Import into n8n

  1. Open your n8n editor.
  2. Click the menu icon (top-left corner).
  3. Select Import from file.
  4. Choose the Auto_Create_Workflows.json file you downloaded in Step 1.

3. What’s in the Workflow?

The imported workflow includes:

  • A Webhook node to receive data from the Chrome Extension
  • A Parse JSON node to extract the workflow content
  • A Create Workflow node to save the new workflow into your n8n instance

Once imported, it will appear in your Overview > Personal area.

4. Before You Test

  • Update the Webhook path to something unique if needed
  • Make sure the workflow is activated (orange lightning icon)

5. Follow the In-Workflow Instructions

After importing, open the workflow and follow the embedded sticky notes. They’ll walk you through everything from setup to execution.
